Why did you start Find a Lutheran Church?
We're a small team of web developers who found existing Lutheran church finders frustrating to use, so we decided to make a better one. In time, we want this to become a tool that helps Lutheran churches reach more people, improve their SEO, promote important ministries and events, and more.
How do I get access to my church's listing?
Send us an email at support@findalutheran.church, indicate your church name and city, and we'll start the process! We'll need to verify your affiliation with your congregation by contacting the church on an official channel. Then we'll send you your login information and instructions.
How do you decide which synods or denominations can go on the site?
We evaluate each Lutheran organizational body that we put on Find a Lutheran Church to make sure it has a confessional/evangelical orientation and respects the authority, inspired nature, and inerrancy of the Bible.
If you don't see churches in our database that you know meet these criteria, it's probably because we just haven't loaded them in yet.
